Neil CarterSmall Cap Portfolio Manager Macquarie Funds Managment Neil joined Macquarie Funds Management in April 2006 as a small companies portfolio manager. As well as portfolio management responsibilities, his sector responsibilities include media, food beverage & tobacco, household & personal products, retailing and consumer durables & apparel. Neil founded Rutherglen Capital, a Hedge Fund Manager based in Sydney and the UK in 2002. During this period Rutherglen Capital launched two funds, the Capital Global Media Fund and the Capital Quant Fund and raised approximately US$50 million. Between 1997 and 2002, Neil was a media analyst with ABN Amro in London and Dresdner Kleinwort Benson. Neil was ranked number one European media analyst in 2001 and 2002. Prior to this Neil was a strategy consultant with The L.E.K. Partnership for five years. The Macquarie Small Companies Fund was recently awarded 2007 Morningstar Fund Manager of the Year Domestic Equities Small Caps. |
